In 2005 I cared for my parents in home 24/7 365 and I learned I wanted a better way than exclusively western medicine for my health care.
I firmly believe that Health is Generational Wealth.
Good Health is the BEST wealth!
Sometimes the smallest changes can make the BIGGEST impact! It’s my prayer that you find easy changes you can make to make life better for you and those you love.
Let's talk about some things that impact your body - the way you feel, how well you sleep, how much stored energy you have available to you each day.
FRAGRANCE
Almost all of the products on grocery/big box store shelves contain fragrance or 'natural flavors'. There is a legal loophole in America that allows a company to put whatever chemical or ingredient into what they can label as a proprietary FRAGRANCE. Sadly the same is true with the phrase “natural flavors”.
If you think in terms of your body having a bank account, whenever you consume a toxin by eating, drinking, breathing it in, or absorbing it through your skin it is a withdrawal from your bank account. Even watching stress filled shows and listening to music that increases your stress can be a withdrawal that 'costs' your body. Conversely when you eat food as God intended (not processed), take quality supplements that can actually enter your cells, get plenty of quality sleep, spend time in the sun, listen to uplifting messages and music and move your body each day, that is how you make deposits in your body's bank account.
Withdrawals
It's just a little bit of chlorine in your water.
It's just a little bit of heavy metals in your food.
It's just a little bit of fragrance in your perfume.
It's just a little bit of benzene in your sunscreen.
It's just a little bit of aluminum in your deodorant.
It's just a little bit of PFOA's in your nonstick pans.
It's just a little bit of phthalates in your plastic toys.
It's just a little bit of methanol in your surface cleaner.
It's just a little bit of artificial coloring in your toothpaste.
It's just a little bit of ammonia in your sugar-free sweetener.
It's just a little bit of propylene glycol in your skincare products.
It's just a little bit of sodium lauryl sulfate in your laundry detergent.
It's just a little bit of glyphosate in your morning cereal.
The real question is...When does "just a little bit" become too much for the body to handle?
What are the long term effects of using toxic cleaning products? For people who clean for a living studies show the damage to their lungs could be the equivalent of smoking 20 cigarettes a day….no matter how well they ate or exercise! And for those who use popular scented candles it has the same effect as smoking cigarettes on your lungs.
Let’s play a little game….It’s called “HOW OFTEN DO YOU….”
You get to give yourself some points on the honor system….
Using points 1-5 with 1 being very little or never and 5 being every day/frequent/wouldn’t want to live without it.
HOW OFTEN DO YOU…
How often do you pick up a cleaner to clean something?
How often do you shower?
How often do you hand wash dishes, pots, or pans without rubber gloves?
How often do you use hand sanitizer?
How often do you get a flu shot?
How often do you get a pneumonia shot?
How often do you get a tetanus shot?
How often do you get a covid shot?
How often do you get a shingles shot?
How often do you clean with Clorox type wipes?
How often do you eat your fruits and vegetables without washing, Even organic?
Do you have a chemical treatment on your lawn each season?
Do you wash your clothes?
How often do you use dryer sheets?
How often do you wash your hair?
How often do you put on perfume?
How many plug-in or candles do you have in your home? (Give yourself 1 point for each one.)
How often do you drink a soda or eat packaged food?
(Cheerios study) the mice eating the Cheerios died sooner than the ones eating the box the Cheerios were stored in.
How often do you use Tylenol or ibuprofen?
How often do you bake using imitation flavors?
How often do you brush your teeth? Fluoride retards cavities AND it calcifies your pineal gland among other things.
How often do you use air freshener?
Is the inside of your home sprayed for bugs?
How often do you put lotion on?
How often do you use antibiotics? Did you know it takes two years for your gut to fully recover from the effects of a single antibiotic?
How often do you have your nails done?
How often do you use the product goo gone?
What was your score? Were you surprised by the number?
I am not saying any ONE of these things are bad but you can see how ‘normal’ it has become to use products that only have “just a little” toxin…..
Only you can be the gatekeeper of your body!
This year one of the most important lessons I learned is that “When you argue with reality, you only lose 100% of the time”………………at some point you gotta be real with yourself about the gap between the life you want to live and the life your daily habits are leading you towards.
There is an EASY solution to all that we have talked about! I found this solution 8 years ago and have only been more happy with it with each passing year. It's a family owned company in the US that has been around 34 years. I trust their products and their scientists completely. They even have a Seed to Seal guarantee which is the backbone of their company.
I used to do ALL of the things listed above but I have not done most of them for the last 8 Years. I think my body has aged well in that time without the toxin accumulation. Here is a link to where I started to make some necessary changes. These are cleaning supplies I don't have to think twice about because I know they are safe for people (little and big) and for pets. And because they are multi-purpose I don't need a bunch of cleaners in my cabinets any longer which freed up a LOT of shelf space! win win!
